drama & theatre

I have been interested in Theatre since I was in fourth grade when I auditioned for a local production of the musical 'Mame' and got cast as the lead role of young Patrick. I picked up theatre full time as a hobby in seventh grade when I played Pumbaa in my school's production of 'The Lion King.' In high school, I played Mr. Jefferson in my high school's production of the hit Broadway musical 'Rent,' Pete in the play 'Almost Maine', and most notably, Crutchie, in our school's production of Newsies. I also played the guitar in a skiffle band accompanying our production of 'One Man, Two Guvnors.'

Creating an original score for a play

I had the wonderful opportunity given to me by my directors to create an original score for our school's production of 'Almost, Maine' which played during scene transitions. This was a wonderful opportunity that I will remember for the rest of my life. I hope to work in a field that allows me to do more like this.
